Hike Through History
Jan. 7, 8am-10am
Discover the topography and natural history of Jupiter’s National Landscape Conservation System historic site. This 2 mile trek passes through historic points of interest on the 120 acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. The hike departs from the flag pole at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum at 8:00am and takes approximately 2 hours to complete, tour is weather dependent. Admission is free but limited space is available, program is open to adults and children -must be at least 5 years old to participate. All children between 5 and 13 must be accompanied by an adult that is at least 18 years old. Hikers footwear, active wear, a hat, and a full water bottle or canteen should be carried. Lighthouse Chickee Chats

Attention Kids: Join us under the Lighthouse Seminole Chickee for stories about Lighthouse Keepers, Florida History and People & local Plants and Animals. Moms & Dads, this is ideal for kids ages 10 and under. Please bring a small mat or blanket for your child. This program is a part of LENS Programs (Lighthouse Education & Natural Sciences) and is sponsored by Dr. Pennock Laird. Program is free and space is limited, runs approximately 45 minutes. Lighthouse Sunset Tour

Take in the spectacular sunset views and witness the Jupiter Light turning on to illuminate the night sky. Visitors get an inside look at the nuts & bolts of a working lighthouse watchroom.
