Hike Through History

Apr 7, 8am-10am

Discover the topography and natural history of Jupiter’s National Landscape Conservation System historic site. This 2 mile trek passes through historic points of interest on the 120 acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area.  The hike departs from the flag pole at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum at 8:00am and takes approximately 2 hours to complete, tour is weather dependent. Admission is free but limited space is available, program is open to adults and children -must be at least 5 years old to participate. All children between 5 and 13 must be accompanied by an adult that is at least 18 years old. Hikers footwear, active wear, a hat, and a full water bottle or canteen should be carried. Lighthouse Chickee Chats

Apr 3,  Starts 10:30am

Attention Kids: Join us under the Lighthouse Chickee for storytime & craft activity about Lighthouse Keepers, Florida History and People & local Plants and Animals. Moms & Dads, this is ideal for kids ages 10 and under. Please bring a small mat or blanket for your child. This program is a part of LENS Programs (Lighthouse Education & Natural Sciences) and is sponsored by Dr. Pennock Laird. Program is free and space is limited, runs approximately 45 minutes. Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Lectures

Apr. 19-Ms. Melissa Tolbert: Balancing the Environmental Needs of a Federal Florida Oasis

Free Lighthouse Lecture Series offered to the public. Lectures are held outdoors on the Lighthouse Deck at 3pm at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, 500 Captain Armour’s Way, Jupiter. Please RSVP to 561-747-8380 x101.


 

Lighthouse Sunset Tour  
Apr 6, 11, 20, 25

Take in the spectacular sunset views and witness the Jupiter Light turning on to illuminate the night sky. Visitors get an inside look at the nuts & bolts of a working lighthouse watchroom. Tour time approximately 75 minutes, $15 Members, $20 Non-Members, RSVP required, 561-747-8380 x101. Tours are weather permitting, call for tour time. Florida Lighthouse Day honors the Sunshine State's treasured maritime heritage sentinels. Two-for-One Admission today only. Join us for Lighthouse Keeper acitivities, Civil War displays and characters, music, storytelling and more.
