National Public Lands Day 2023: 30 Years of Care and Community

Join our friends at the Bureau of Land Management as they host a fantastic National Public Lands Day 2023 event, including a wide range of activities and opportunities presented by over twenty community partners!

Activities include guided tours of the lighthouse, guided hikes on the Outstanding Natural Area trails, and educational displays covering topics such as invasive animal control, habitat restoration and conservation, shoreline erosion concerns and solutions, and on-site archaeological discoveries.

Volunteers will have opportunities to participate in service projects including invasive plants removal, trash clean-up, trail maintenance, and general site enhancement. Volunteers are encouraged to preregister by emailing Karen Moore, Bureau of Land Management Natural Resource Specialist, at kmoore@blm.gov. Please arrive by 8:00am to sign up for specific projects. All other participants can arrive anytime between 8:00 and 12:00.

Parking is available at Lighthouse Park. Please visit the NEEF event page for additional information!
