Veteran’s Event-Five Flags Over Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse

Free for Veteran’s and their families! Join us first for a light breakfast, the presentation of colors, and singing of the National Anthem.  Josh Liller, Lighthouse Historian, will present a history of all 5 military branches active at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. A Special Keynote speaker will conclude the presentations. Veteran’s and their families are invited to climb the Lighthouse & experience some moving military pop-up exhibits throughout the grounds. All Veterans will leave with a token of our appreciation.

We’ll be joined by the Elliott Museum, Reverence Riders Veterans Motorcycle Association, Road to Victory Museum-WWII reenactors, Jensen Beach High School Jubilate Choir, US Naval Sea Cadets Corps, Union Navy Civil War reenactors,  US Coast Guard: Aids-To-Navigation Team Ft. Pierce & Station Lake Worth.
In-Kind Partner: Starbucks – Fisherman’s Wharf Jupiter

This event is outdoors at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum. Please dress for the weather.

Breakfast and check in. US Army will help serve breakfast to our Veterans.
9:55-Opening Ceremony Reverence Riders Veterans Motorcycle Association will stand at attention
10:00-10:10 presentation of the colors by US Coast Guard Lake Worth Inlet
10:10-10:15 Singing of the National anthem by JBHS jubilate
10:15-10:20 Pledge of Allegiance and moment of silence led by Scott Guntz, President, Reverence Riders Veterans Motorcycle Association
10:20-10:35 Introduction and US Military history presentation by Josh Liller, Historian, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum
10:35-10:50 Guest speaker
12:00 pm- Token of appreciation gift to Veterans, including hand-made cards from Martin County School Students

10:00AM-2:00PM pop-up exhibits:
-Military history and artifacts in Quarterdeck room at the Museum
-Elliott Museum will be displaying artifacts from the House of Refuge, and in partnership with the Reverence Riders Veterans Motorcycle Association will bring a display on The Vietnam & War On Terrorism Memorial Wall
-Military Vehicles on display from Road To Victory Museum -WWII reenactors will be in front of Lighthouse
-Union Navy Civil War reenactors will have two dog tents and the fly, as well as artifacts. They will also pass out Civil War Trail Book produced by the state of Florida.
-US Naval Sea Cadet Corps will be having a line heaving exhibition and challenge as well as a knot-tying station
-US Coast Guard Station Lake Worth
-US Coast Guard Station, ANT Fort Pierce servicemen & women will be bringing their Trailable Aids to Navigation Boat (TANB) along with a display table.
