Outstanding Natural Area Family Day

Families explore history and nature at our waterfront site on May 8th, 10am-2pm at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum! Get outdoors and explore the Outstanding Natural Area (ONA.)
Children receive free admission and a Lighthouse Activity Backpack – limited supplies. The backpack includes ONA Nature Scavenger Hunt, Jr. Ranger Book & Crayon, and Lighthouse Binoculars. You’ll be exploring the Flora & Fauna of the ONA!
The Bureau of Land Management will be offering a fun activity for children along with distributing America The Beautiful-Every Kid Outdoors passes to 4th & 5th graders!
Families will be able to visit the Museum, Tindall Pioneer Homestead, Keeper’s Workshop exhibit, and historic grounds, and climb the Lighthouse. Children must a minimum of 48″ tall to climb the Lighthouse and be accompanied by an adult.
Admission: $12 Adults, $10 Seniors & Veterans, Free: Children 18 & Under, Lighthouse Members & Active Duty US Military.
History:
On May 8, 2008, President George W. Bush signed Congressional legislation declaring the 120-acre Lighthouse site a part of the National Conservation Lands as an Outstanding Natural Area, a protected heritage landmark for current and future generations within the Bureau of Land Management.
