A Town In Transition: Changes and Challenges in The Jupiter Area, 1953-1987
Did you know that 70 years ago Jupiter was a small agricultural community and Tequesta didn’t exist? Changes in economics and transportation brought new communities and infrastructure. How did Jupiter and its neighbors manage that growth? How did it impact the environment? LRHS Historian Josh Liller looks at the formative years of the local area, from Pratt & Whitney to I-95. Copies of the revised edition of Five Thousand Years on the Loxahatchee, co-authored by the presenter and published by LRHS, will be available for purchase and signing.
Location: Jupiter Branch Library, 705 Military Trl, Jupiter, FL 33458. Check with library for latest county government building mandate
